Mind and Body Centering
One very important aspect of living a happy and healthy life is being in the moment.
Many people dwell on things from the past, or worry about “hypothetical” future “what if” events, that may never happen.
To reach your destination/accomplish your goals more efficiently and with less stress, know where you are going, yet BE in the present.
One exercise that many people utilize for this is called “centering”.
What will centering do for you?
- cleanse your thoughts and mind
- destress
- relax
- increase your positive energy
During this exercise, which is combined with deep breathing, you focus on the moment.
Think about a “mind” restart, just like you’d be restarting a computer when it “freezes” up.
It is just about 5 minutes in length and is a great way to start your day. You can also utilize it anytime you feel overwhelmed or are faced with “life” and need to restart your mind.
Pick a quiet and comfortable place, preferably with dim lighting.
Sit comfortable in a chair, legs uncrossed and your feet firmly on the floor.
Rest your arms and hands on your thighs, palms open and facing up.
